Main purpose of the job: To assist the Division with physiotherapy rehabilitation Location: Soweto Comprehensive Cancer Centre – Chris Hani Baragwanath Academic Hospital, Soweto, Johannesburg Key performance areas: Assess and identify clients with lung-related symptoms Screen for cancer and treatment complications Provide rehabilitation interventions relevant to the patient`s needs Oversee the health education program for the project Train caregivers on cancer risks and symptoms Manage referrals for high-risk patients Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care Developing personalized treatment plans based on assessment findings Track patient progress regularly and adjust treatment plans as necessary Capture patient information on Redcap Consolidate weekly and monthly statistics Compile reports as needed by the project and maintain electronic records Attend organizational training as required and participate in MDT meetings Continuously improving knowledge and skills through ongoing education, research, and training Required minimum education and training: Bachelor’s Degree in Physiotherapy Required minimum work experience: Minimum of 5 years’ experience Must have experience and interest in managing patients with cardiopulmonary dysfunction Must have good interpersonal skills and communication skills Must have a basic understanding of patient-centered care principles Must be multilingual (English and other local languages) Professional Body Registration: HPCSA Desirable additional education, work experience and personal abilities: Ability to accept different lifestyles, cultures, beliefs and values TO APPLY: Only if you do meet the minimum job requirements and experience as mentioned above, you may submit a detailed updated CV.
