Job Summary
Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and manage all open cast mining operations to meet production targets.
- Develop and implement mining plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Oversee the maintenance and optimal utilization of mining equipment and machinery.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of mining professionals and support staff.
- Collaborate with geological and technical teams to optimize resource extraction.
- Monitor and report on operational performance, implementing improvements as necessary.
- Manage relationships with stakeholders, including local communities, regulatory bodies, and contractors.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Btech or BSc’s degree in Mining Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in open cast coal mining operations, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
- In-depth knowledge of mining equipment, processes, and best practices.
- Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations in the mining industry.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in computer skill
- Mine Manager’s Certificate of Competency for collieries.
