Job Summary

Qualifications & Experience: Matric certificate. National Diploma/BSc/B.Eng/B-Tech in Mechanical Engineering and/or Red Seal (Trade Tested: Millwright, Fitter, Electrician), with preference for expertise in at least two trades. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar maintenance role within a mining environment. Proven experience in managing maintenance teams. Experience in training and managing mining crews. Prior asset management experience. Strong understanding of site compliance regarding health, safety, equipment, and personnel. Demonstrated success in project management, particularly in engineering and maintenance projects on mines. Expertise in optimizing Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE). Competency in risk management, including preventive maintenance (PPM). Technical knowledge of maintenance methodologies and mining standards. Experience in developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and reporting structures. Valid Medical Certificate or fitness to work underground. Clear criminal record.
