Job Summary
- A minimum of Grade 12 or equivalent.
- A bachelor’s degree is preferable.
- Excellent knowledge of policy wordings
- Must be registered as a representative with the FSCA in terms of the FAIS Act.
- Must be registered as an associate with the IISA.
- A comprehensive knowledge of the South short-term insurance markets.
- Have a minimum of 5 – 10 years’ experience in a similar or related role.
- A valid driver’s license.
- Computer literacy.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for leading, developing, and improving the day-to-day client relationship.
- Responsible for building a client profile, including risk and needs analysis, for the client portfolio.
- Responsible for contributing to the renewal process, which includes:
- Preparing pre-renewal documents.
- Meeting with clients.
- Sending renewal notifications.
- Sending cancellation letters where applicable.
- Responsible for structuring insurance programmes to meet the needs of portfolio clients.
- Responsible for producing client documentation (including policy documents and claims statistics).
- Leads or contributes to renewal meetings.
- Leads or contributes to fee negotiations.
- Responsible for maintaining and improving client satisfaction, retention, revenue, and profitability.
- Responsible for ensuring compliant dealings with clients.
- Contributes to the development of new business with existing or new clients.
- Coordinates teams of Client Service Advisors (where applicable) to ensure client service standards are met.
- Acts as support to the Strategic Account Manager or Business Manager on larger, more complex accounts.
- Responsible for credit control.
