Job Summary
Kendrick Recruitment is now seeking a Reservations Consultant for a prestigious luxury hotel and lodge group based in Franschhoek. This is a fantastic opportunity for a detail-oriented and professional individual who is passionate about the hospitality industry and keen to work within a dynamic and supportive team environment.
Main Responsibilities
Administration:
-
Ensure all incoming emails and reservations messages are dealt with promptly and accurately.
-
Respond to all emails within the same business day.
-
Answer telephone calls promptly and courteously.
-
Handle all reservations efficiently and record details accurately into the Property Management System (PMS).
-
Maintain full knowledge of all hotel rates including rack, corporate, and contracted rates.
-
File all reservation records accurately and ensure easy retrieval.
-
Be familiar with internal and external reservation systems, including third-party booking websites.
-
Double-check all daily bookings for accuracy and confirmations prior to guest arrival.
-
Track reservations correctly for statistical purposes using appropriate codes.
-
Correctly utilise guest history files.
-
Have comprehensive knowledge of all rooms, suites, hotel facilities, and local competitors.

Understand and communicate all special offers and property logistics.
Financial Aspects:
-
During high occupancy periods, ensure all reservations are confirmed appropriately.
-
Liaise with the accounts department regarding credit issues and outstanding accounts.
-
Ensure all bookings receive deposits within 14 days of reservation.
-
Ensure full payments are collected according to the propertys terms and conditions.
Miscellaneous:
-
Maintain a professional and positive attitude in all client interactions.
-
Liaise with the operations team on ongoing guest requirements.
-
Forward any potential sales leads to the Sales Department.
-
Identify and communicate any special requests or issues to the Reception Manager.
-
Assist with special projects or tasks as required by the Reservations Manager or Sales and Marketing teams.
Working Hours:
-
Full-time position based in Franschhoek.
-
Working hours are weekdays from 08:00 to 17:00.
