About the Role

As a Wine Steward at Craven Cottage CC, you will play a vital role in ensuring exceptional wine service to our guests. You will be responsible for assisting with wine service, maintaining wine cellars and storage areas, and delivering knowledgeable wine recommendations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with wine service in restaurants, private dining, and events.
  • Ensure correct handling, storage, and presentation of wines.
  • Support the maintenance and organisation of wine cellars and storage areas.
  • Assist with stock control, inventory counts, and cellar administration.
  • Maintain cleanliness and presentation of all wine-related service areas.
  • Deliver knowledgeable and professional wine recommendations to guests.
  • Work closely with the Food & Beverage and Culinary teams to ensure seamless service.
  • Adhere to all health, safety, and service procedures.

Requirements

  • WSET Level 1 or 2 (or currently studying)
  • Experience in luxury hospitality or fine-dining environments
  • Previous exposure to wine cellar operations
  • Previous experience in Food & Beverage service within a hotel or restaurant environment
  • Genuine interest in wine and beverage service
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • High attention to detail and presentation
  • Willingness to learn and develop wine knowledge.
  • Professional, polished, and guest-focused
  • Enthusiastic and eager to learn
  • Calm and organised under pressure.

Qualifications
