Duties:
- Own the end-to-end QA strategy, standards, and frameworks across products.
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of QA engineers, cultivating a culture of excellence.
- Champion test automation and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate across Dev, DevOps, and Product to embed quality in every release.
- Drive metrics, reporting, and risk assessments that elevate product performance.
- Promote Agile practices, coaching teams to align with best-in-class QA processes.
Job Experience & Skills Required:
Qualifications:
- Matric (Grade 12)
- Qualification in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
Experience:
- Proven experience leading QA in fast-paced Agile environments.
- Experience in online gaming, iGaming, or a high-traffic platform environment.
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), containerization (Docker), and CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with risk-based testing, performance testing, and security standards.
- Strong communication and team collaboration skills.
- Proficiency in automation tools and modern QA tech stacks.
- Passion for mentorship and career development of team members.
- Expertise in managing quality across multiple teams or products.
- A strategic mindset with hands-on execution ability.
Skills & Competencies:
- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles, with practical experience in C# and the .NET framework.
- Ability to troubleshoot, debug, and find creative solutions to technical challenges in a collaborative environment.
- Exposure to relational databases (e.g., SQL Server) and confidence writing basic queries and understanding data structures.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a willingness to learn from others and contribute to group success.
- Eagerness to learn new tools and technologies, adapt quickly to change, and continuously improve technical skills.
