Location: Northern Cape

Job Summary:
Hire Resolve’s Client are seeking a highly experienced and qualified Pit Superintendent to oversee all aspects of mining operations at their site in the Northern Cape. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the pit operations to ensure safety, efficiency, and productivity in accordance with company policies and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
– Oversee day-to-day pit operations, including planning, scheduling, and coordinating activities to achieve production targets.
– Implement and enforce safety procedures and practices to ensure a safe work environment for all employees.
– Manage and supervise a team of mining professionals and operators, ensuring they are properly trained and equipped to perform their duties.
– Monitor and control production costs, equipment utilization, and resource allocation to maximize efficiency and profitability.
– Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including government agencies, community leaders, and other members of the mining industry.
– Prepare reports and provide regular updates to senior management on mining operations, production performance, and safety compliance.
– Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes and enhance productivity.

Requirements:
– Grade 12
– Opencast Blasting Certificate
– Legal Liability Certificate
– 5 years opencast mining experience in a Pit Supervisor role.

Benefits:
– Salary: R1,2m R1.5m CTC
