KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Fleet Coordination & Dispatch Schedule and dispatch drivers for local and national deliveries Monitor daily vehicle movements and delivery timelines Assign routes and track progress using tracking software (e.g., Mix Telematics, Ctrack) Driver Management Supervise and support drivers, ensuring adherence to safety and company policies Conduct driver debriefs and report on performance Assist with recruitment and onboarding of drivers Vehicle Maintenance & Compliance Ensure all vehicles are serviced and maintained according to schedule Conduct inspections and manage licensing, roadworthiness, and compliance with transport regulations Coordinate repairs and liaise with workshops Administration & Reporting Maintain accurate records of deliveries, vehicle usage, fuel consumption, and breakdowns Generate weekly/monthly fleet performance and cost reports Manage vehicle insurance, fines, and incident reporting Cost & Route Optimization Identify opportunities to reduce transport costs through efficient routing and vehicle utilization Work with logistics and planning teams to improve delivery times and reduce delays REQUIREMENTS Matric / Grade 12 (essential) Diploma in Logistics, Transport Management, or similar (advantageous) Minimum 35 years experience in a Fleet Controller or Logistics Coordinator role, preferably in manufacturing or packaging sectors Strong knowledge of transport legislation and road safety compliance Proficient in fleet management software and MS Office (Excel, Outlook) Experience with vehicle tracking systems (Mix Telematics, Ctrack, etc.) KEY COMPENTENCIES Strong organizational and planning skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Attention to detail and high accuracy under pressure Proactive problem-solver with strong decision-making skills Ability to manage time and multiple tasks effectively RUMUNERATION R16,000 Per Month
