Job Summary
1. Qualifications
- Matric
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, IT, or a related field (Degree preferred)
- Relevant certifications beneficial (CISSP, PMP, ITIL)
2. Requirements
- 5+ years’ experience in an IT management role, preferably in the trading or financial services sector
- Strong technical expertise in:
- IT infrastructure
- Systems administration
- Cybersecurity
- Experience managing enterprise systems:
- ERP
- WMS
- CRM
- Trading platforms
- Proven track record in IT project delivery on time and within budget
- Familiarity with IT compliance, vendor management, and end-user support
- Personal attributes include:
- Proactive, hands-on, driven
- High attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Effective under pressure
3. Key Performance Areas (KPA’s)
IT Infrastructure & Support
- Oversee networks, servers, storage, and telecom systems
- Ensure infrastructure scalability, reliability, and security
- Manage third-party vendors and in-house/outsourced support teams
Systems Administration
- Manage ERP, WMS, CRM, and trading platforms
- Implement best practices for uptime, monitoring, and performance
- Maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans
Cybersecurity & Compliance
- Develop and enforce IT security policies and procedures
- Execute mandated controls from divisional offices
- Conduct and respond to internal/external IT audits
- Drive cybersecurity awareness and training programs
Strategic IT Leadership
- Align IT strategy with business goals
- Drive innovation and operational efficiency through technology
- Mentor and develop IT staff
Project & Vendor Management
- Lead IT projects end-to-end (planning, delivery, review)
- Manage project timelines, budgets, resources
- Negotiate and manage vendor contracts, pricing, and compliance
Risk & Team Management
- Proactively mitigate IT risks and report to management
- Oversee task prioritization and daily team operations
- Ensure professional development and resource availability for team
