Job Summary
Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a talented and creative Pastry Chef to join a prestigious luxury wine estate located in Franschhoek. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate culinary professional to showcase their skills in a world-class setting.
Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and present high-quality pastries, desserts, breads, and baked goods
-
Innovate and develop new pastry items in line with the estates luxury standards
-
Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and quality of all products
-
Monitor stock levels and manage ordering of pastry-related supplies
-
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the pastry section
-
Collaborate with the Head Chef and kitchen team to ensure smooth service delivery
Requirements:
-
Formal culinary training with a focus on pastry and baking
-
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role within a fine-dining or luxury environment
-
Strong knowledge of classic and modern pastry techniques
-
Creative flair with attention to detail
-
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
-
Excellent organisational and time management skills
-
Own transport preferred due to live-out nature of the role
