Job Summary
This position sits at the intersection of strategy, data, and execution. It’s not about reporting for the sake of reporting – your output will be used to shape core business strategies, drive revenue growth, and identify inefficiencies before they cost the business. Duties:
- Develop, design, and maintain BI dashboards and reports using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik.
- Collaborate with business units to understand their reporting needs and deliver actionable insights.
- Monitor data trends and generate performance metrics to support strategic initiatives.
- Build and maintain automated reporting solutions to reduce manual effort.
- Assist with data warehousing and modelling to ensure accuracy and scalability of reporting.
- Present findings to stakeholders and offer data-backed recommendations to improve business processes.
- Ensure data integrity and validation across multiple data sources.
Job Experience & Skills Required:
Qualifications:
- Matric (Grade 12)
- Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate or equivalent BI certification (advantageous).
- Relevant BI or data visualisation coursework or certification preferred.
Experience:
- 3 – 5 years’ experience in a BI Analyst or Reporting Analyst role.
- Hands-on experience with data visualization tools like Power BI, Tableau, or QlikView.
- Strong background in SQL, DAX, and data transformation methodologies.
- Experience working with large datasets from ERP or CRM systems (SAP, Dynamics, Salesforce, etc.).
- Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud) is a plus.
Skills & Competencies:
- Advanced proficiency in SQL and data modelling.
- Strong understanding of business processes and the ability to translate data into business value.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex data in simple terms.
- High attention to detail and a strong sense of accountability.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Stakeholder management and presentation skills are essential.
