Job Summary

Are you a dynamic leader with experience managing operations in a fast-paced manufacturing or production environment? Our client is looking for an Operations Manager to join their team in Cape Town. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead implementation and embedding of the Bowler Peoples Manual across all sites

  • Oversee HR operations including payroll, onboarding, compliance, and workforce planning

  • Manage performance frameworks and coach leaders on effective team development

  • Drive talent acquisition, L&D, succession planning and retention strategies

  • Champion Employment Equity, BBBEE, and employee wellness initiatives

  • Provide strategic IR support and oversee dispute resolution and disciplinary matters

  • Guide digital transformation initiatives, including the rollout of PaySpace

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience in operations or plant management, preferably within manufacturing or industrial sectors.

  • Strong understanding of production planning, quality control, and process improvement.

  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.

  • Ability to implement and monitor KPIs to improve operational performance.

  • Knowledge of health and safety standards and regulatory compliance.

  • A relevant qualification in Operations Management, Engineering, or similar.

Salary: Market-related and negotiable based on experience.

Job Summary

Hire Resolve’s client is looking for a dynamic and results-driven Operations Manager that has experience with UPS systems to join their team in Cape Town, WC. This key role involves overseeing high-level operational processes, HR functions, and technical responsibilities to ensure the organizations operations and procedures align with its strategic objectives. The successful candidate will provide visionary leadership, drive productivity and efficiency, and foster a culture that supports performance and morale.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and review operational policies and procedures aligned with the company’s culture and vision.
  • Oversee budgeting, reporting, planning, and auditing processes.
  • Identify and address business challenges and opportunities for growth.
  • Foster effective communication between workers and management, building forward strategies from constructive feedback.
  • Establish governance processes to achieve objectives, manage risks, and optimize resource utilization.
  • Lead and support business compliance and risk management programs.
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders, focusing on customer satisfaction.
  • Drive a performance-driven culture by leading and managing teams effectively.
  • Champion transformation initiatives aligned with inclusion and business requirements.
  • Provide technical support for UPS and battery technologies (VRLA and Lithium-Ion), including configuration, troubleshooting, and system understanding.
  • Assist sales teams by addressing customer technical inquiries and specifications for UPS and battery solutions.
  • Ensure availability to address customer needs promptly, minimizing disruptions to their operations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Operations Management, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
  • Certifications related to UPS systems (e.g., Certified UPS Technician, electrical safety certifications) are advantageous.
  • 5+ years of experience with UPS systems and batteries.
  • 2-5 years of team leadership experience.
  • 2-3 years of project management experience.
  • Strong knowledge of UPS technologies, including online, offline, and line-interactive systems.
  • Familiarity with UPS and battery configuration and troubleshooting.
  • Proven ability to manage people and processes, with a track record of delivering results through others.
  • Technical expertise, business acumen, and industry knowledge.

Job Summary

Hire Resolve is seeking an experienced Operations Manager specializing in electrical, construction, and engineering sectors for our clients based Nationally, however the candidate can reside in Cape Town, Bloemfontein or George. As an Operations Manager, you will be instrumental in overseeing projects and ensuring that operations align with business goals.
Your responsibilities will include managing resources, coordinating project plans, and ensuring that all work meets the quality standards and complies with regulations. This role demands strong leadership, strategic thinking, and the ability to foster collaboration among diverse teams.

Requirements: 

  • Must have a degree in Electrical engineering, coupled with experience in managing tender pricing, managing contracts (JBCC, NEC, etc),
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in an operations management role within electrical, construction, or engineering sectors. specifically in the tender and projects environment.
  • Proven experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • You will have a sound understanding of managing tender pricing, managing contracts, providing leadership in project/operational planning, SANS10142 and material control.
  • Strong knowledge of project management principles and best practices.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Willingness to travel as per project requirements.
  • Expert Software skills in MS Projects, Candy CCS is essential.
  • Must have Drivers Licence and own car.

Job Summary

Hire Resolve’s client is seeking anOperations Manager who will be a key part of the management team and oversees high-level HR duties, such as attracting talent and setting training standards and hiring procedures. They also analyse and improve organizational processes, and work to improve quality, productivity and efficiency. Mainly focused on overseeing the organizations ongoing operations and procedures. They are in charge of providing inspired leadership for the operations of the of business, which involves making important policy and strategic decisions, as well as the development and implementation of operational policies and procedures. They also assist Human Resources department with recruiting, when necessary, and help promote a company culture that encourages morale and performance.

In general, Operations Managers specialize in one or more aspects of a business and oversee operations within the relevant department.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement and review operational policies and procedures that promote company culture and vision.
  • Oversee budgeting, reporting, planning, and auditing.
  • Identify and address problems and opportunities for the company.
  • Support worker communication with the management team. Be able to accept criticism and build a forward strategy from it.
  • Establishing governance processes to ensure that objectives are achieved, risks are managed appropriately, and the organisations resources are used responsibly
  • Where necessary, lead and/or support the implementation of business compliance and risk programs.
  • Maintain relationships of trust and respect with key internal and external stakeholders. Customer service needs to be a primary focus, for both existing customer and future prospects.
  • Lead and manage teams, ensuring that people related issues are dealt with in the appropriate manner, ensuring that a performance culture is driven throughout the business.
  • Drive transformation in the business, with a view of inclusion, ensuring that the relevant transformation requirements of EOH are supported in all people related processes.
  • Deep understanding of UPS and batteries (VRLA and Lithium-Ion) technologies, including online, offline, and line-interactive systems. Familiarity with various brands and models, including configuration and troubleshooting to be the technical support and guidance for the technicians when troubleshooting
  • Onsite UPS sales support when salespeople are selling solutions, by addressing customer technical questions and specifications for sizing of the solution, both UPS and battery requirements, according to load, future expansion and conversion of solution from VRLA to Lithium.
  • Must be available as and when the business requires, to ensure customer satisfaction and minimal disruption to their business, at all times.

  • Bachelors degree in operations management or related field
  • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
  • Certifications related to UPS systems (e.g., Certified UPS Technician, electrical safety certifications) are a plus
  • Function related (UPS and batteries) experience: 5+ years
  • Leading teams: 2-5 years
