Job Summary
Our client, a prominent manufacturing business based in George, Western Cape; is seeking to appoint a experienced Financial Manager to their dynamic team.
This is a senior management position and candidates meeting the requirements below are welcome to apply.
Requirements:
- CA/CIMA qualified will be given preference.
- 5 Years post articles experience in industry.
- Proven experience as a Senior Accountant / Financial Manager.
- Understanding of financial trends, both within the company and general market patterns.
- Sound knowledge of accounting software, preferably Sage Online.
- Fluent in English and Afrikaans.
- People and general management experience will be given preference.
- Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
- Able to manage, guide and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are followed.
- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to work with data, and compile, review and understand spreadsheets.
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently.
- Initiative driven.
Responsibilities and expectations but not limited to:
- Management of full financial function.
- Provide financial reports and interpret financial information to managerial staff while recommending further courses of action.
- Advise on investment options.
- Develop trends and projections for the groups finances.
- Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities.
- Liaise with auditors to ensure appropriate monitoring of company finances.
- Correspond with various other departments, discussing company plans and agreeing on future paths to be taken.
- Engage in cost accounting processes to analyse, track, and report on costs associated with business operations.
- Collaborate with relevant departments to gather cost-related information.
