Job Summary
- Perform scheduled services, preventative maintenance, and repairs on diesel vehicles and equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot engine, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical faults.
- Conduct major and minor overhauls on engines and related components.
- Complete job cards, service reports, and ensure accurate record-keeping.
- Ensure tools, equipment, and work areas are kept in safe, clean condition.
- Adhere to all company policies, safety, and compliance regulations.
- Standby and call-out duties (as per operational requirements).
REQUIREMENTS
- Grade 12
- Diesel Mechanic Trade Test
- 5 Years experience
- Skilled in servicing, overhauling, and repairing diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to use diagnostic equipment, electronic fault-finding tools, and technical manuals.
- Welding, fabrication, and auto-electrical experience (an added advantage)
- Knowledge of preventative maintenance systems
