Job Summary

A leading manufacturer in the hygiene products industry, is seeking a skilled and dedicated Machine Operator to join our dynamic production team in Boksburg. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in toilet paper converting and a strong mechanical aptitude. You will be responsible for the efficient operation, setup, and maintenance of our advanced converting machinery, playing a key role in our commitment to quality and productivity. Key Responsibilities: Perform complete machine setup, calibration, and operation of toilet paper converting equipment (e.g., slitters, rewinders, embossers, cutters). Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure all products meet strict production standards and specifications. Troubleshoot machine faults, diagnose production inefficiencies, and perform basic mechanical and electrical repairs to minimize downtime. Efficiently manage product changeovers on automated production lines using HMI (Human Machine Interface) systems. Strictly adhere to all workplace safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout procedures, and maintain high hygiene standards for paper products. Collaborate effectively with the production team to ensure a smooth, continuous workflow and clear communication. Minimum Requirements: Education: A Matric certificate with a minimum of 50% in Mathematical Literacy and 50% in English (Second Language or equivalent).
