Job Summary

Job Title: Punching Manager

Hire Resolves client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Punching Manager to join their team in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal. The Punching Manager will be responsible for overseeing the production of punched products in our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in punching operations and a proven track record of successfully managing a team.

Responsibilities:

Supervise and coordinate the daily operations of the punching department
Manage the scheduling of production orders to meet customer demand
Ensure that all products meet quality and safety standards
Train and develop team members to improve performance and productivity
Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during production
Maintain equipment and machinery to ensure optimal performance
Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and improve efficiency
Monitor and report on key performance indicators to senior management

Requirements:

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work under pressure and maintain a sense of urgency.
Knowledge of the Labour Relations Act (LRA) and disciplinary procedures.
Experience in training, coaching, and mentoring employees.
Solid planning and organisational skills.
Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
Knowledge of change management.
Analytical skills to interpret trends and draw conclusions from data.
Experience in leading and evaluating team performance.
Familiarity with packaging processes and machines is a plus.
Knowledge of printing and packaging materials, including papers, inks, and chemicals, is an advantage.
Understanding of quality standards and procedures.
