Job Summary
- Essential
- Proven experience as a professional fishing guide (fly-fishing, trout, bass, or tigerfish depending on lodge location).
- Strong angling skills with knowledge of local species and techniques.
- Valid First Aid & CPR certification.
- Valid driver’s license and boat license (if motorized boats are used).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong swimming ability and water safety knowledge.
- Preferred
- FGASA Level 1 (or higher) Nature Guide qualification, or equivalent guiding certification.
- Knowledge of local ecology, birdlife, and wildlife.
- Hospitality experience in a lodge, safari, or outdoor tourism environment.
- Multilingual abilities (advantage with international guests).
- Ability to work flexible hours, weekends, and holidays.
