About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Graphic Designer to join our dynamic team in Johannesburg. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for creating visually stunning and impactful designs across various channels, including social media, marketing, presentations, event branding, merchandise, internal communications, and product supporting visuals. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to bring ideas to life, ensuring consistency and excellence in every output.
Key Responsibilities
- Design social media posts and digital marketing assets across our brand channels.
- Create branded materials for award submissions, entries, and related campaigns.
- Design branded merchandise for clients, staff, and events including specs and print-ready files.
- Build presentation templates and pitch decks that scale across the business.
- Produce graphics and visual assets for internal and client-facing documents.
- Create illustrations for product UI, social posts, and broader brand storytelling.
- Manage and evolve our graphic design system to ensure consistency across all outputs.
- Curate brand-aligned asset packages including sourcing and adapting stock imagery where needed.
- Support product design initiatives in collaboration with the UX team.
- Design driver training visual assets that translate operational content into clear, digestible visuals.
- Design event and exhibition collateral including banners, booth assets, and event-branded items.
- Develop and maintain internal comms templates and recurring branded touchpoints.
- Manage print-ready files and liaise with print suppliers, ensuring quality and accuracy across formats.
- Contribute to motion graphics and short-form video content where required.
Requirements
- Strong ability to follow and apply brand guidelines consistently across every output.
- Platform flexibility.
- Comfortable moving between Illustrator, Figma, Canva, and Google Workspace tools depending on the brief.
- Canvas flexibility.
- Confident designing across posters, banners, business cards, social tiles, and longer form layouts, applying best practices for each format.
- Strong print knowledge, ideally deeper than the rest of the team.
- High attention to detail and strong visual craft.
- Comfortable receiving and acting on feedback from peers, managers, and stakeholders.
- Able to manage multiple briefs simultaneously and deliver clean handoffs.
Qualifications
- 2-3 years of professional graphic design experience.
- Diploma or degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or equivalent practical experience.
- Portfolio demonstrating range across print, digital, social, and brand work.
