Pastry Chef / Baker | Luxury Estate | Franschhoek
Salary: R16,500 R20,000 (Negotiable, DOE)
Location: Franschhoek | Western Cape
Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking a skilled and passionate Pastry Chef / Baker for a prestigious luxury estate situated in the heart of Franschhoek. This is an exceptional opportunity for a creative and detail-oriented culinary professional who takes pride in crafting high-quality pastries, breads, and baked goods within a refined hospitality environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Prepare a wide range of pastries, breads, desserts, and baked items to the highest standard
-
Assist in the design and development of dessert menus and bakery offerings
-
Ensure consistency in taste, quality, and presentation across all baked items
-
Manage baking schedules to ensure timely preparation and delivery
-
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the pastry and baking section
-
Oversee stock control and assist in ordering baking supplies as needed
-
Work closely with the Head Chef and kitchen team to align with overall culinary goals
Requirements:

Minimum 3 years experience in a similar pastry or baking role within a luxury environment

Formal culinary or patisserie training preferred
-
Strong technical skills in baking and dessert preparation

Creative flair with a keen eye for detail and presentation
-
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required
