My client in the manufacturing sector is looking for a Debtors Clerk to join their dynamic team!

In this role, you will be responsible for managing the full trade and other receivables function. This includes liaising professionally with customers, CGIC, and other stakeholders to ensure timely collection of outstanding payments. You’ll also take the lead in preparing reports, resolving queries, and contributing to the overall efficiency of the accounts receivable process.
 
As the Debtors Clerk you will responsible for the following:

• Prepare and update bi-weekly cash flow forecasts.
• Distribute invoices and customer statements.
• Conduct telephonic collections and document all customer interactions.
• Follow up on outstanding payments and allocate receipts within agreed payment terms.
• Ensure all collection activities are reported in line with specific deadlines.
• Perform local cash control account reconciliations.
• Generate and distribute weekly wage analysis reports.
• Investigate unidentified receipts and resolve discrepancies.
• Accurately post inter-company cash transfers.
• Process financial adjustments as required.
• Compile and distribute month-end statements.

Job Experience and Skills Required:
Matric with Mathematics and Accounting.
A Diploma or Degree in Financial Management / Accounting is an added advantage.
Advanced computer literacy; Syspro experience is a plus.
Strong communication skills (both written and verbal).
Ability to meet tight reporting deadlines and manage pressure effectively.
A team player with a deep understanding of accounts receivable processes.
