Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement secure, scalable network architectures supporting hybrid and cloud-first environments.Monitor and optimize network performance for remote and cloud-based infrastructure.Manage firewalls, VPNs, routing, and switching configurations remotely.Troubleshoot and resolve complex network incidents with minimal downtime.Integrate emerging technologies (e.g., SD-WAN, SASE, ZTNA) to strengthen connectivity and security.Ensure network compliance with industry and regulatory standards.Use AutoTask PSA to manage tickets, document configurations, and track projects.Document all network changes, topologies, and incident responses clearly.Collaborate with vendors and service providers to maintain reliable connectivity.Mentor junior engineers and support knowledge sharing within the team.Required Skills & QualificationsExpertise in routing/switching (e.g., BGP, OSPF, VLANs), VPNs, and firewalls.Experience with cloud networking (Azure, AWS).Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Datto RMM or equivalent.Strong documentation skills using AutoTask or similar ITSM/PSA tools.Ability to work independently in a fully remote, distributed environment.Preferred Qualifications(brand)Certifications such as CCNP, JNCIS, or NSE4.Knowledge of SD-WAN, Zero Trust, and infrastructure automation tools.Experience supporting VoIP (3CX), CCTV, multi-site routing, and hybrid cloud networks.
