Job Description
- Serve as an active member of the Exco, contributing to organizational strategy and decision-making.
- Champion the company culture, values, and integrity across all levels of the business.
- Advise the CEO and Board on HR, transformation, compliance, and people-related matters.
- Oversee the end-to-end recruitment process: advertising, sourcing, interviewing, referencing, and background checks, and onboarding/induction.
- Ensure full compliance with South African labour laws, including MIBCO regulations and Workmen’s Compensation.
- Ensure a positive work environment through proactive employee relations, address grievances, mediate disputes, and manage disciplinary processes
- Oversee Employment Equity and BBBEE compliance, ensuring diversity and inclusion goals are achieved.
- Ensure accurate payroll administration, compliance with statutory requirements, oversee time and attendance management, leave processing, and UIF documentation.
- Implement engagement strategies including surveys, recognition programs, and team-building activities.
- Develop and implement training and development programs aligned with business needs.
- Manage learnerships, internships, and upskilling opportunities in line with BBBEE and EE goals.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, Business, or related field (postgraduate qualification advantageous).
- Minimum 7–10 years’ HR management experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership/Exco role.
- Proven track record in industrial relations, transformation, and compliance.
- Experience in a manufacturing/automotive or similar environment advantageous.
