This is a pivotal leadership role with full P&L and operational accountability, offering the challenge and autonomy to significantly impact the company’s future performance and strategic direction. Requirements: B Degree / B Tech in Mining Engineering (Essential) Valid Blasting Certificate and Mine Manager’s Certificate of Competency (Essential) A management development qualification (e.g., MBA, Leadership Diploma) is essential Minimum of 15 years of mining experience, with a proven track record including: 5 years as a Mine Manager; 3 years as a Mine Overseer; 2 years as a Shift Supervisor In-depth, hands-on knowledge across all underground mining disciplines: Stopping, Development, Shafts, Survey, Ventilation, Rock Engineering, and Geology Strong business acumen with exposure to project management, accounting principles, and engineering Key Performance Areas: Operational & Financial Leadership: Drive the operation to consistently meet and exceed production targets and profit margins, ensuring long-term sustainability Strategic Planning: Develop, implement, and refine the mine’s strategic plan, directly assisting the Operations Executive in the broader strategic management process People & Culture: Implement and maintain sound people management practices, including HR and Employee Relations (IR), to cultivate a productive, skilled, and engaged workforce Vision & Leadership: Formulate, communicate, and drive the company’s strategic vision through transformational and effective leadership at all levels of the operation ESG & Stakeholder Management: Proactively manage environmental compliance and corporate social investment as key strategic focus areas.
