Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and knowledgeable Parts Salesman with experience in the truck and commercial vehicle industry to join our team in Pinetown. The successful candidate will be responsible for selling truck parts to retail and workshop customers, managing parts inquiries, ensuring customer satisfaction, and meeting sales targets.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Assist walk-in and telephone customers with truck parts inquiries and sales.
• Identify and source correct parts based on customer needs and vehicle specifications.
• Maintain strong product knowledge across truck brands and models.
• Prepare and process quotes, invoices, and sales orders accurately.
• Maintain stock control, check availability, and follow up on back orders.
• Work closely with workshop and service departments to ensure correct parts are supplied on time.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and new clients.
• Achieve monthly sales targets and contribute to overall parts department performance.
• Stay up to date with new products, pricing, and industry trends.
• Handle warranty and returns processes in line with company policy.
• Ensure the parts area is clean, organized, and complies with health and safety standards.

 
Minimum Requirements:
·        Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent qualification.
·        Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in truck/commercial vehicle parts sales.
·        Strong knowledge of truck brands (e.g., FAW, Hino, Volvo, Isuzu, Mercedes-Benz, etc.).
·        Proficiency in using dealership management systems (e.g., Evolve, Autoline, etc.).
·        Excellent customer service and communication skills.
·        Valid Code 8 driver’s licence.
·        Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
·        Ability to work under pressure and meet sales targets.
