<p>A Guesthouse (B&B) in Pretoria (Gauteng) seeks to appoint a live-in Guesthouse Manager to oversee and manage the operations at the Guesthouse.</p><p><em><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></em></p><ul><li><p>Oversee all operations including reservations, check-in/check-out, invoicing, guest relations, housekeeping, breakfast service, stock-control, maintenance, marketing, service improvement and staff management.</p></li><li><p>Manage and train staff and co-ordinate staff activities.</p></li><li><p>Daily cash-ups, petty cash management, purchases of daily essentials, reconciliations, and financial reporting.</p></li><li><p>Maintain and manage inventory and stock.</p></li><li><p>Manage guest relations and attend to special guest requests. Resolve guest complaints promptly.</p></li><li><p>Manage on-line and other guest reviews and feedback to improve services.</p></li><li><p>Assist to promote and market the Guest House through on-line platforms.</p></li><li><p>Coordinate housekeeping and maintenance to ensure the Guest House is clean, safe, and well-maintained.</p></li><li><p>May occasionally assist with meal preparations for guests or to make arrangements for meals.</p></li><li><p>Ensure compliance with statutory requirements including health and safety.</p></li></ul><p><strong> </strong></p><p><em><strong>Requirements:</strong></em></p><ul><li><p>Previous experience as a Manager in a Guest House, Lodge or Boutique Hotel</p></li><li><p>Strong administrative and financial skills</p></li><li><p>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage warmly with guests and lead a team.</p></li><li><p>Proficiency in MS Office (Word and Excel), and email</p></li><li><p>Proficiency in booking software</p></li></ul><p></p>
