Pretoria: Head of Manufacturing

We are seeking an experienced and driven Head of Manufacturing to lead our production operations. This is a senior leadership role ideal for a qualified Mechanical Engineer with a solid background in machine shop management , CNC machining , and laser cutting . You will be responsible for overseeing the entire manufacturing function, ensuring seamless 24/7 operations, while maintaining high standards in quality, safety, and efficiency. ✠Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage day-to-day manufacturing operations across CNC, laser cutting, and general machining departments. Oversee quality control processes to ensure compliance with product standards and customer expectations. Manage material procurement and stock levels to ensure continuous production flow. Coordinate and schedule regular and preventive maintenance of all machinery and equipment. Source and procure necessary tools and consumables in a cost-effective manner. Supervise and support a team of machinists and technicians working across 24/7 shift operations . Drive process improvements, cost efficiencies, and operational excellence. Ensure all health and safety regulations are strictly adhered to. 🎓 Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (essential). Proven experience in a senior manufacturing or production role, preferably in a machine shop or precision engineering environment. Hands-on experience with CNC machines , laser cutting , and machine maintenance . Strong knowledge of quality control standards and lean manufacturing practices.
