Cape Town City Centre: Furnace Supervisor – Aluworks

JOB DESCRIPTION The Aliminium works department requires committed, hardworking and trustworthy individuals to join the team as Furnace Supervisors. (SHIFT POSITION) Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: In-depth and general operation of furnace Constant monitoring of furnace parameters Set flame density, temperature Oversee the feeding as well as housekeeping of the furnace Assist the line manager with ad hoc duties Management of the Furnace equipment and operational procedures Manage quality standards in accordance with set targets and guidelines Manage risk by identifying potential failures and offering solutions to remedy risk Team supervision to ensure smooth operation of the shift Manage consumables and spares to ensure that production runs smoothly Compile shift report including general incidents and delays Investigate incidents and communicate findings possible solutions timeously Implementation and monitoring of Occupation Health and Safety compliance Applicants must have the following qualifying criteria: Matric (Maths compulsory) Must be computer literate (Microsoft Office) Excellent Communication skills.
