About the Role
Hire Resolve’s client, a well-established company based in the Western Cape, is seeking an experienced Planner to join their team. As a key member of the planning department, you will play a crucial role in creating and maintaining detailed project schedules, coordinating with various teams, and ensuring that projects are completed within the allocated time frame.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain merchandise financial plans and forecasts
- Analyze sales trends, historical data, and market insights to make informed inventory decisions
- Plan and allocate merchandise assortments to stores or distribution centers based on sales projections and inventory levels
- Collaborate with buying teams to develop seasonal product strategies and assortment plans
- Monitor inventory levels and make adjustments to purchase orders to optimize stock levels
- Review and analyze sales performance, markdowns, and inventory turnover to identify opportunities for improvement
- Work with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of merchandise and resolve any supply chain issues
- Implement pricing strategies and promotions to drive sales and maximize profitability
Requirements
- Qualification in Retail, Business or Supply Chain
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Planner in the retail industry
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
