Durban North: Reporting Manager posted by Network Finance

Job & Company Description:
This exciting role requires a technically strong Chartered Accountant with deep experience in external reporting within a listed environment. You will take ownership of the group’s financial and integrated reporting processes, ensuring compliance with IFRS, the Companies Act, and JSE Listings Requirements. The position offers the opportunity to lead a technically skilled team, work closely with senior executives, and play a key role in driving high-quality reporting and governance practices.
Other duties include:

• Overseeing the preparation and review of annual and interim financial statements in line with IFRS and JSE requirements
• Leading the integrated and sustainability reporting process
• Managing external audit engagements and liaising with external advisors
• Preparing and reviewing technical accounting position papers and ensuring timely updates on IFRS developments
• Presenting technical accounting matters to the Audit Committee, Board, and senior stakeholders
• Supporting strategic projects such as M&A activities, valuations, and group restructuring initiatives

Education:

• Qualified CA(SA)

Job Experience & Skills required:

• Minimum of 8 years’ post-article experience in a JSE listed environment
• Strong technical expertise in IFRS, Companies Act, and JSE Listings Requirements
• Proven experience in integrated and sustainability reporting
• Track record of successfully managing external audits and technical accounting issues
• Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills
• A passion for technical accounting and external reporting
