Job Description

Our client, a leading player in the mining and engineering sector, is seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Crushing Superintendent to join their dynamic operations in the Northern Cape. This is a critical leadership role responsible for overseeing all crushing and screening production activities within a robust open cast mining environment. Requirements: N3 Certificate OR Qualified Artisan (Fitter, Millwright, Diesel Mechanic) 5 years post-qualification experience in a heavy industrial environment (e.g., mining, heavy engineering) 2 years experience in a formal Supervisory role Non-negotiable hands-on experience with crushing and screening machinery in an open cast mining environment A valid driver’s license and own transport Medically fit to meet mine-specific health and safety standards Key Responsibilities: Supervise plant operators to ensure optimal performance of crushing and screening circuits Conduct daily performance reviews and provide on-the-spot coaching Report equipment issues, breakdowns, and service schedules to the Plant Manager Enforce SOPs and safety protocols with strict compliance Lead root cause analysis on work comebacks and address training gaps Monitor and manage team overtime in line with company policy
