• Trade Test Certificate (Diesel Mechanic, Earthmoving Equipment Mechanic, or similar)

Requirements 

• 5–10 years’ hands-on experience in repairing and rebuilding mining machinery.
• 3+ years in a supervisory or management role in a mining or heavy industrial workshop.
• Strong knowledge of mining equipment brands (e.g., CAT, Volvo, Metso).
• Familiarity with hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical diagnostic systems

Duties 
Workshop Operations

• Plan, coordinate, and manage daily workshop activities related to diagnostics, repair, and overhaul of mining equipment.
• Supervise complete machine rebuilds and component refurbishments (e.g., engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems).
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with OEM specifications and industry standards.

Team Management

• Lead and supervise a team of artisans, fitters, welders, mechanics, and apprentices.
• Allocate tasks, monitor performance, and conduct on-the-job training and mentoring.
• Ensure proper shift coverage and productivity targets are met.

Quality & Technical Oversight

• Perform technical assessments and root cause failure analysis on major components and machines.
• Ensure the use of correct tools, parts, and methods in all repair and rebuild work.
• Approve final inspections and quality control checks before equipment is returned to service.

Health & Safety

• Enforce all workshop health and safety procedures, ensuring compliance with site and legal safety standards.
• Conduct safety toolbox talks, risk assessments, and incident investigations as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workshop environment.

Resource & Inventory Management

• Manage inventory of spare parts, tooling, lubricants, and consumables.
• Coordinate procurement with the stores or supply chain team to minimize downtime.
• Track usage and report discrepancies or delays in parts supply.

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain detailed service and rebuild records for all machinery and components.
• Provide regular reports on workshop performance, machine turnaround times, and cost tracking
