Kendrick Recruitment is recruiting for a Resident Head & Facilitator to join a luxury wine estate based in Franschhoek. On-site accommodation is provided.

Salary: Negotiable, dependent on experience
Location: Franschhoek
Job Type: Full time

Key Requirements:

• Relevant education or language qualification
  

• A BEd degree would strengthen the application
  

• Experience as a teacher, facilitator, or within a student residence environment
  

• At least three years leadership experience
  

• Experience working with children or teenagers through teaching, mentoring, or youth leadership
  

• Experience coaching life skills such as communication, conflict resolution, or similar competencies advantageous
  

• Valid first aid training
  

• Confident in handling emergencies, conflict, or challenging behaviour, with the ability to respond calmly and fairly
  

• Excellent communication skills in Afrikaans and English
  

• Ability to communicate effectively with learners, parents, and staff
  

• Ability to lead and supervise groups of students
  

• Respect for and understanding of diverse cultural backgrounds
  

• An engaging and uplifting personality
  

• Willingness to adapt to flexible working hours and responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Leading and managing student residence operations
  

• Facilitating educational and life skills programmes for youth
  

• Supervising and mentoring learners within the residence
  

• Handling emergencies and conflict situations professionally
  

• Collaborating with parents, staff, and other stakeholders to support learners development
  

• Maintaining a safe, respectful, and supportive environment
  

• Assisting in the establishment and ongoing development of an exceptional educational institution
