Africa: Financial Controller (expat, DRC) posted by Network International

• Oversee all financial operations including general accounting, payroll, and tax compliance
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in line with IFRS and local GAAP (OHADA)
• Monitor budgets, forecasts, and cash flow management for DRC operations
• Ensure compliance with DRC tax and statutory obligations (including mining or industrial codes, if applicable)
• Coordinate transfer pricing documentation and inter-company transactions
• Implement and maintain internal controls and risk management strategies across DRC operations
• Support the CFO in strategic planning, investment analysis, and financial modelling
• Ensure adherence to group policies while being sensitive to DRC’s unique financial and regulatory environment

Qualifications:

• BCom in Accounting / Finance
• Fluent in English and Afrikaans 

Experience:

• 5–10 years of experience in financial management or controllership
• Experience in cross-border African operations, especially in Central or Francophone Africa, is advantageous
• Sector experience in mining, construction, infrastructure, logistics, or FMCG preferred
• Strong understanding of OHADA, DRC tax laws, and banking systems desirable
• Experience in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Sage, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics)
