ProStaffSelect are in search of a dynamic and highly polished young lady to take on the position of Assistant WEDDING PLANNER & COORDINATOR for this prestigious company based on a magnificent wine farm on the outskirts of Stellenbosch. We are looking for a self-motivated peoples person, a “shaker and mover”, someone with a flair for SALES, ADMINISTRATION, ATTENTION TO DETAIL, SYSTEMS, COMMUNICATIONS & NEGOTIATIONS, DECOR & DESIGN, CURRENT FASHION TRENDS and most importantly the ability to ensure a memorable, once of a kind experience for the Bride & Groom, bridal party & guests.
REQUIREMENTS:
A formal qualification in wedding & event planning at CPUT, Aleit Academy, STADIO or similar
At least 2 – 3 years work experience within wedding planning & coordination.
Exceptional written & verbal communication skills in ENGLISH to deal with overseas clients in person, telephonically & via email.
An outgoing, bubbly and engaging personality is absolutely essential.
Highly computer literate with advanced skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Publisher, Canva etc
A willingness to go above and beyond with a humble and serving heart.
Strengths in compiling function forecasts, budgets and function sheets.
Familiar with various table settings, service sequence, venue layouts, seating plans and function formats.
Experience in procurement / sourcing of hiring equipment, props and catering / F&B equipment.
Excellent knowledge of fine Cuisines & premium Wines.
Highly developed time management skills.
Exceptional capacity for Sales and skills in generating new business.
