Job Description A well-established and growing short-term insurance company is seeking an experienced Commercial Underwriter to join their professional underwriting team. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive technical underwriting support across commercial lines, assist senior management with loss ratio and claims analysis, and maintain exceptional service standards with brokers and clients. This role requires a confident, detail-oriented individual with strong analytical ability, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of commercial underwriting processes. Qualifications Matric / Senior Certificate essential Skills Minimum 5 years experience in Commercial Underwriting (short-term insurance). Sound understanding of Motor and Non-Motor commercial risks. Proven technical underwriting experience within an insurance company or underwriting management agency (UMA) preferred. Strong computer literacy particularly TIAL and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organisational and time-management abilities. High level of accuracy and attention to detail. RE5 Qualification (Advantageous) Class of Business: Commercial Lines (Advantageous) Exposure to risk surveys and underwriting audits (Advantageous)
