Johannesburg: Technical Sales Rep.

Key Responsibilities 1. Lead Generation & Market Prospecting Proactively identify and qualify sales leads through cold calling, networking, referrals, and inbound inquiries. Research key markets and customer segments to uncover business opportunities. 2. Sales Engagement & Negotiation Present products or services to potential customers, highlighting benefits and value propositions. Negotiate pricing, terms, and close sales agreements in line with company policies. 3. Customer & Distributor Relationship Management Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers to foster repeat business and upsell additional products of services. This pertains to direct and customers and distributor channel. Respond to customer inquiries and resolve concerns with professionalism and urgency. 4. Performance Monitoring & Reporting Exceed and meet sales targets and KPIs as set by management. Develop and manage sales forecasts and pipelines. 5. Product Expertise & Industry Knowledge Maintain a thorough understanding of the company’s products or services and stay informed about industry trends. Provide technical expertise to customers and address their questions. 6. Cross-functional Collaboration Work closely with marketing, aftermarket service, and technical teams to align on sales strategy. Participate in internal meetings and training initiatives to stay aligned with business goals. Qualifications & Skills Minimum Requirements: Matric. Proven track record in B2B sales. Strong understanding of the South African industrial, compressor markets and / or technical markets. Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. Core Competencies: Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent negotiation and presentation abilities. Time management and organisational discipline. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM platforms. Desirable: Technical knowledge of compressor systems or related industrial machinery. Familiarity with industry regulations and standards. Multilingual abilities or additional technical certifications.
