Durban: Code 10 Driver

Job Title: Code 10 Driver Seniority Level: Mid-Career (2 – 4 yrs exp) Region: KwaZulu Natal Job Purpose: To ensure safe, timely, and professional delivery and collection of parcels and freight to and from customers, using a Code 10 vehicle. The driver will represent the company in a courteous and responsible manner, maintaining a high level of customer service and ensuring that all deliveries and collections are completed efficiently and accurately. Key Responsibilities: Deliver and collect parcels and freight as per daily schedules and routing plans. Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any issues. Ensure all documentation (waybills, delivery notes, PODs) is accurately completed and returned. Adhere to all road traffic rules and company policies. Maintain cleanliness and basic maintenance of the vehicle. Communicate effectively with dispatch, clients, and operations team. Assist with loading/unloading of parcels as required. Handle parcels with care to avoid damage or loss. Use handheld devices or delivery apps for navigation and tracking purposes (if applicable). Report any delays, accidents, or incidents immediately. Minimum Requirements: Valid Code 10 Drivers License with valid Professional Driving Permit (PrDP) Minimum of 2 years driving experience, preferably in the courier/logistics industry Matric certificate or equivalent (advantageous) Clean driving record with no major accidents or traffic violations Good knowledge of road networks and GPS navigation Physically fit and able to handle heavy parcels Basic literacy and numeracy skills Punctual, reliable, and trustworthy Customer-focused with good communication skills
