Reservations Manager | Luxury Hotel | Cape Town Salary: R40,000 – R45,000 (Negotiable depending on experience) | Live-in position Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced Reservations Manager to join a prestigious luxury hotel group based in Cape Town . This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the full reservations function, ensuring a seamless booking process, maximizing revenue, and delivering a superior guest experience. Minimum Experience and Qualifications: Tertiary qualification, preferably in Hospitality Management or a related field Minimum 7 years of experience in the hospitality industry, with at least 2 to 3 years in a similar reservations management role at a five-star property Strong operational and technical knowledge of reservation systems Key Responsibilities: Oversee daily operations of the reservations department to ensure efficient, accurate bookings Manage a team of reservation agents, offering support, training, and guidance Maintain a well-organized and efficient administrative system within the department Ensure accurate guest database management for effective communication and guest history tracking Take full accountability for the performance of reservations across all properties Ensure smooth and error-free use of the reservation systems, including data input, updates, and reporting Handle guest inquiries, resolve booking issues, and ensure guest satisfaction Implement strategies to optimize occupancy and maximize revenue Assist the Group Revenue Manager with daily tasks and departmental reporting Monitor and analyze reservation trends, providing regular reports to management Communicate current promotions, packages, and booking incentives across all relevant departments Collaborate with internal and external departments to ensure a cohesive guest journey Stay updated with industry trends, tools, and best practices to drive continuous improvement Ideal Candidate Profile: Exceptional leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills Detail-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment Proficient in hotel reservation and property management systems Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Results-driven with a proactive and guest-centric mindset If you are ready to step into a dynamic role at one of Cape Town’s most respected luxury properties, we would love to hear from you.
