• Match performance of the operators to production to ensure full capacity
• Assess operator performance daily

Maintenance Management:

• Supply the Manager with relevant information on machine breakdowns, services and performance

General:

• Sound knowledge and understanding of all relevant procedures and instructions
• Clear understanding and adherence to company and client policies and procedures
• Discuss ‘comebacks’ with subordinates to identify any training needs and/or poor work performance
• Review and monitor overtime to ensure that the maximum hours are not exceeded

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least N3 or Qualified Artisan
• Supervisory qualification will be advantageous
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a supervisory designation 
• At least 5 years post trade experience
• Previous experience on crushing and screening machinery in an open cast mining environment

Knowledge / Competencies /Abilities:

• Candidates must have a valid driver’s license
• Sound verbal and written communication in English
• Must be medically fit and pass a medical examination as required from the designated mines
• Ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines
• Attention to detail will assist in compliance with OEM standards
