We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Accountant with proven experience in multi-entity environments, exceptional reconciliation and VAT expertise, and a solutions-driven approach. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing complex financial processes across a diverse hospitality portfolio, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and efficiency. This hybrid role offers the flexibility to work remotely, with twice weekly team meetings held in Stellenbosch. Requirements Bachelors degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field highly advantageous; Minimum 5 years experience in a similar Financial Accounting role within the hospitality sector. Prepare monthly management accounts and comprehensive financial reports. Manage supplier invoicing, payment processing, and perform reconciliations. Oversee banking, payroll, and cash control processes with meticulous attention to detail. Supervise stock control procedures and assist during monthly stock takes. Handle customer invoicing and maintain effective debtor management. Maintain and audit the Fixed Asset Register. Ensure full compliance with VAT regulations, perform accurate reconciliations, and submit VAT returns. Enforce strong internal controls and actively contribute to audit readiness. Proven experience working within multi-entity environments. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, accounting systems, and online banking. High attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and a solutions-focused mindset. Confident collaborating across multiple departments and business units. Stable employment history with contactable references.
