Johannesburg: Mechanical Design Engineer with BSc Degree

The Role: As a Mid-Level Mechanical Engineer, you will play a key role in both the design and execution phases of bespoke engineering solutions, with a focus on: Primary Responsibilities (70%): In-house mechanical design and development Fabrication and Metal Designs Strength calculations (first principles and FEA/Simulation) 3D CAD modelling and detailed drawing using SolidWorks Compilation of manufacturing data packs including: BOMs, QCPs, Work Instructions, and Technical Manuals Supplier & vendor management during fabrication Secondary Responsibilities (30%): Project management across service, manufacturing, design, and product lifecycles Involvement in: Quotation, procurement, and logistics Planning and scheduling Quality control, inspections, and reporting Data book creation and final closeout documentation What You Need to have to Apply: A Mechanical Engineering degree re BEng or BSc, not BTech 3–6 years’ experience in a relevant engineering environment Deep interest in mechanical design and technical problem-solving in Fabrication design Experience in heavy engineering sectors or heavy manufacturing Able to work on shore and off shore and travel to various sites and coutnries High Competency in SolidWorks, FEA tools, and manufacturing processes Strong documentation and communication skills Why Join Us in Cape Town?
