Exclusive Luxury Property in Franschhoek is looking for a Housekeeping Supervisor. This position is essential for maintaining the hotel’s luxury standards and ensuring guest satisfaction . Candidates need a mix of practical experience ; leadership skills ; and an eye for detail to thrive in this role. This position is ideal for a candidate looking for a housekeeping leadership role. Staff transport available from Franschhoek, Paarl and Stellenbosch. Duties: Team Leadership : Provide direction and oversight to the housekeeping team. Operational Objectives : Implement and achieve daily service goals. Communication : Conduct daily handovers and briefings to ensure smooth operations. Quality Assurance : Maintain high standards for public areas and overall cleanliness. Maintenance Reporting : Ensure prompt reporting and follow-up on maintenance issues. Rostering : Plan and manage staff schedules and leave. Performance Management : Provide feedback and support development plans for team members. Training Initiatives : Develop and execute training programs for staff. Inventory Control : Monitor and manage inventory levels for various supplies to control costs. Requirements: Education: Degree or diploma in Hospitality Experience : Minimum 2 years in a similar role at a 5* property. Drivers License : Valid license preferred. Physical Endurance : High level of stamina required. Communication : Strong written and verbal skills. Technical Skills : Proficiency in using computers. Leadership : Strong ability to lead and train a team effectively. Planning : Effective rostering and expense management abilities. Problem-Solving : Maintain professionalism and composure under pressure. Attention to Detail : High standards for quality and sustainability. Candidates from Franschhoek and nearby areas are preferred.

Job Description

Luxury Estate close to Franschhoek ; known for their sophisticated escapes and unique guest experiences is looking for a Housekeeping Supervisor. You will be successful in this role if you have the ability to assist with the planning and coordination of the activities of the housekeeping team by ensuring that operating procedures and standards are met. The role requires high levels of attention to detail, a leader; team player and the focus on exceeding the guests expectations. Staff Transport from Franschhoek; Paarl and Stellenbosch. Duties: Provide oversight and guidance to the Housekeeping team Daily handovers and briefings with Housekeeping team Ensure hotel public areas are maintained and look impeccable Daily maintenance reporting and following up Staff rostering and leave planning Plans; prepares and executes on-going training initiatives for the Housekeeping team Monitor and control inventories for operating equipment, linen, stationary, guest supplies, cleaning supplies and uniforms to ensure par stocks are maintained and costs are controlled Requirements: Grade 12 & a Diploma in Hospitality Valid drivers license High level of physical endurance A minimum of 5 years of experience in a Housekeeping Management role within a 5* luxury property Impeccable communication skills both written and verbal Must be computer literate Leadership experience Strong training skills and experience Effective rostering abilities Knowledgeable with the controlling of expenses and inventories Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure Preference will be given to candidates from Franschhoek and neighbouring areas
