About the role As a YES candidate within the BCI Team in the Company, you will support projects across compliance, business process optimisation, AI/technology integration, and content creation. You will contribute to the Company’s social-impact mission by helping embed efficient, legally compliant, and technologically advanced processes, supporting both internal operations and services offered to clients. Responsibilities Technology and AI Integration Assist with AI and software-based initiatives across Company’s Shared Services and its affiliated entities. Participate in the development or configuration of automation tools and AI-enabled solutions for business processes. Help produce and deliver AI training materials; support training sessions for staff. Monitor and ensure adherence to internal policies for safe and responsible AI use. Research emerging AI, automation, cybersecurity and technology trends relevant to Company’s business. Legal and Compliance Support Provide ad hoc support with contract drafting and review; assist in preparing legal opinions under supervision. Help ensure that AI, automation, and process-change initiatives comply with applicable legal, regulatory, and data-protection requirements. Contribute to compliance-related research (e.g. cyber law, AI governance, data protection) for internal application and client advisory. Maintain compliance-aligned process and policy documentation. Business Process Analysis and Improvement Support on-demand business process analysis, design, and review projects for the Company and its subsidiaries. Utilise data, metrics and analytical tools to identify inefficiencies and propose improvements, including automation or AI-driven solutions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to implement process optimisations that align with Companys strategic goals. Assist with the development and maintenance of process documentation, SOPs, workflows, and compliance records. Help facilitate training or mentoring for managers and team members on process maintenance and improvement. Content Creation (AI-Focused) Develop clear, engaging content, written or multimedia, to explain AI, automation, compliance, and process improvement concepts for internal teams or clients. Assist in creating training guides, policy summaries, user manuals or communications related to AI integration and compliance. Support Companys broader mission of empowerment and transformation through well-crafted educational and awareness materials. Minimum Requirements South African Unemployed youth between the ages of 18 and 34. Must not have participated on the YES programme before. Matric. IT/computer science/software development/AI; law / legal studies/compliance/cybersecurity; and/or Communications/digital media/content creation. Skills Strong analytical and problem-solving ability. Clear, effective written and verbal communication. High attention to detail, especially regarding compliance and documentation. Ability to learn quickly, adapt to evolving technologies, and work both independently and in a team environment. Advantageous Technical / Additional Skills Familiarity with AI tools, automation platforms, basic programming, or software development. Knowledge or interest in cyber law, data protection, and regulatory compliance frameworks. Content creation capabilities: technical writing, design, multimedia or educational material development.
