Gauteng: Technical SHEQ Manager posted by Network Contracting

• Lead and manage the SHEQ function across the site in alignment with OHS Act, ISO standards and company policies.
• Implement and monitor SHEQ strategies, risk assessments, safe operating procedures and compliance frameworks.
• Conduct SHEQ audits, inspections and incident investigations, ensuring corrective and preventive actions are implemented.
• Drive training initiatives, toolbox talks and awareness campaigns to promote a zero-harm culture.
• Maintain ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 systems and ensure certification compliance.
• Report SHEQ performance metrics, trends and improvements to senior leadership.
• Liaise with external stakeholders (regulatory bodies, auditors, insurance, environmental agencies).
• Champion continuous improvement initiatives across safety, environmental impact and product quality.

 
Minimum Requirements

• Technical qualification (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Industrial, Environmental, or similar).
• SAMTRAC, NEBOSH, or an equivalent SHEQ/Safety certification (ESSENTIAL).
• Minimum 5+ years’ experience in a SHEQ role within Engineering, FMCG, Manufacturing, Mining or Heavy Industry.
• Strong knowledge of SHE legislation in South Africa (OHS Act, COIDA, NEMA, SANS & ISO standards).
• Proven experience in risk assessment, incident investigation, auditing and systems management.
• Excellent communication, leadership and training skills.
• Ability to influence teams, enforce compliance, and drive a proactive safety culture.
