Job Description
This is a senior role suited to someone who thrives in heavy industry, understands plant environments, and can lead technical teams while growing aftermarket revenue across multiple territories.
2. Non-Negotiable Requirements
- BEng or equivalent in Mechanical / Metallurgical / Industrial Engineering (or similar).
- 5+ years’ management experience in mining, crushing, or heavy industrial equipment.
- Strong understanding of crushing, screening, vibrating equipment AND full plant lifecycle.
- Proven leadership capability across technical, service and aftermarket teams.
- African travel readiness (50%+ travel).
- Strong commercial, customer-centric, and safety-driven mindset.
- Advanced communication skills and ability to influence senior stakeholders.
3. Job Experience & Skills Required
- Lead and execute the aftermarket growth strategy across African territories.
- Develop and manage aftermarket teams, service capability, and technical support functions.
- Drive retention, customer engagement, renewals, and aftermarket agreements.
- Build and maintain high-level customer relationships across mining operations.
- Oversee technical problem-solving, root-cause analysis, and warranty management.
- Ensure accurate fleet, installed base and market share data.
- Promote digital tools, fleet digitalisation, and productivity reporting.
- Collaborate with territory managers to improve service delivery and aftermarket penetration.
- Strengthen supply chain efficiency through better forecasting and planning.
- Ensure full compliance with health, safety, quality, and environmental standards (16.2 responsibility).
