Hatfield: Accountant

Salary: Market-related Working Hours: Monday Friday, 08:00 16:30 Contract Type: Permanent | Office-based Location: Hatfield, Pretoria Our client, a reputable organisation within the services industry, is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join their team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in SAGE systems, comfortable preparing financials up to the Trial Balance, and confident in managing full payroll functions. Key Responsibilities Accounting Prepare, process, and maintain financial records accurately. Produce financial statements up to Trial Balance. Compile, analyse, and interpret Management Statements. Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies timeously. Oversee SAGE Accounting functions and ensure accuracy of financial entries. Assist with month-end reporting, financial controls, and related accounting tasks. Payroll Manage full payroll processing on SAGE Pastel Payroll / SAGE Professional . Maintain up-to-date employee payroll records. Address and resolve payroll-related queries. Ensure accurate monthly payroll preparation, submissions, and compliance. Perform general administrative and filing duties as required. Minimum Requirements Matric with strong accounting foundations. Relevant Accounting qualification. Payroll experience using SAGE Pastel Payroll / SAGE Professional . Proficient in SAGE Accounting / SAGE One . Fully competent in preparing financial statements up to Trial Balance . Ability to compile, analyse, and interpret Management Statements . Must reside in Pretoria and be Afrikaans-speaking. Own reliable vehicle and valid drivers licence. Strong numerical accuracy, analytical ability, and problem-solving skills.
