Procurement Officer – EPCM Construction Project – Swakopmund, Namibia

As a result of an awarded major EPCM project in Namibia, the client is seeking a motivated Procurement Officer to join on site project team on 6:2 roster
About the role
- Work with internal stakeholders to determine procurement needs and delivery timelines.
- Align procurement activities with project schedules and budget constraints.
- Prepare tender documents and evaluate bids.
- Draft service level agreements and manage contract performance.
- Place orders, track deliveries, and manage inventory levels.
- Reconcile discrepancies and ensure timely distribution of materials.
- Monitor expenses against approved budgets.
- Develop sourcing strategies and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier performance.
About you
- Hold a Degree or diploma in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business, or Engineering.
- Experience in mining, construction, or industrial projects.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and procurement software.
