Qualified financial accountant with required for a hotel property in Franschhoek. The position allows for part-hybrid candidates, ie: 3 days at Hotel Office and 2 days from Home. Minimum requirements: Minimum 3 – 5 years Financial Accountant experience in 4/5 Star Hotel environment Tertiary degree in finance SAIPA/SAICA accreditation preferred Proficient in ACCPAC Proficient in VIP Payroll Good working knowledge / understanding of Hospitality PMS systems / NEBULA would be beneficial Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excellent Excel Skills Key Responsibilities: Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and budgets. Transaction Management: Maintain accurate records of financial transactions, including journal entries, ledgers, and reconciliations. Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and company policies. Audit Support: Assist with internal and external audits, tax filings, and other financial compliance requirements. Performance Monitoring: Monitor and analyze financial performance indicators to identify trends and opportunities. Departmental Support: Provide financial support and guidance to other departments.
