• Plan, control, record and report on assessments.
• Attend meetings, forums and workshops relevant to the grade/phase.
• Create and maintain an educational atmosphere in the classroom.
• Take responsibility for all classroom equipment and stock.
• Collaborate with teachers in the grade/phase to ensure effective teaching delivery.
• Manage, plan, assist and promote teaching and learning within the class.
• Plan, manage and assist with school activities, including sport and cultural programmes.
• Implement disciplinary measures within the grade/phase where necessary.
• Assist with sport and administrative duties as required.
• Demonstrate personal commitment to education and contribute to the school’s overall ethos.

Requirements:

• Minimum qualification: N6.
• Relevant teaching experience.
• Current SACE registration.
• CAPS curriculum experience.
• A strong passion for working with children.
• Excellent planning, organisational and administrative skills.
• A positive, energetic approach to teaching.
• Patience and compassion when working with young learners.
• A clear criminal record (background checks will be conducted).
• A valid driver’s licence is advantageous.
